Francesca Galloway is a leading specialist dealer in Indian painting and courtly objects, and Islamic and European textiles. Francesca is well known internationally for her expertise, taste and integrity. Her career began in the early 1970s when she worked for Christie's in Rome before joining Spink & Son at the height of the Persian art boom in 1976. She became a director and co-authored a number of seminal exhibitions on Islamic art, Indian painting and textiles, before setting up her own business 1992.
The company has since steadily grown: in 2006, we moved to our current gallery space in Dover street, Mayfair. Christine Ramphal, a director of the company, joined in 2007 having previously worked at Christie's in the textile department. Lucy Southgate, the gallery manager, joined the team in 2012.
We regularly hold exhibitions at our gallery, as well as showing in New York. We broker important private collections and advise collectors. Our catalogues designed by Anikst Design are reference works in their own right.
